so today's post is of Kevin Wilder. Kevin is a writer who works out of my studio and is, as of this day, starting National Novel Writing Month yet again. he and a good chunk of my friends have done it for a few years and i even tried it one year to no real avail. the goal is 50,000 words over the span of a month. i got 1000 words in, drew a picture and counted that picture as 1000 words and "finished" 48k short. im decidedly not a writer.
i need to photographer all my nanowrimo friends.
but also speaking of kevin...he and i are in a pretty bad ass band called Cat Steve Evans. Cat Steve Evans is a sister band to the great ukulele tour de force called Ukesex, which is produced in association with the lovely stephanie's personal Uke project called Uke A Million.
and speaking of uke a million, be sure to check out a brand new song on the ukeamill blog. its steph and myself doing a damien jurado song (matinee).
****As of right now, the compture got weird and the song may not be posted. its not great anyway but i played uke. whatever.

so yesterday i mentioned i debated which image to post....so today i'm posting the other one and asking YOU...which do you like better? do you like them at all? do you eat meat? can i borrow your bike?
here, today, is the 4x5 frame of a similar shot. my scanner sucks so i couldn't "really" scan it with the 4x5 rails in it...i wanted to but after scanning bob and getting every so slight moire i decided if i REALLY want something scanned fully intact i'll wait till i have a better scanner. so many scanners i desire. [cue drool....Now]

SO...first im posting the one shot by itself, then LINKS to the two photographs at a slightly larger resolution. i find bigger can often be better.
So there is that!

my sister is doing the whole 3 day walk (Susan Komen) here in atlanta and i'm here to shoot the whole thing. here's a poptpop from the night. a double even.
so, placeholder. im in ATL for the Susan Komen 3 Day walk to photograph in support of my sister (as opposed to walking sixty miles). i had an image ready to roll and i was gonna log in to my home machine to finish up the edit and post it but my connection is BUDGET so i cant access it, so edits will have to wait until i can change it up...at least from the home machine.
a moment from tonight that will double is a PoptpoP:
so two days ago i finally loaded my own 4x5 holders. i got holders when i got the Speed Graphic but have only used the Polaroid back until now. so i took four frames and despite existing plans to send it off to get developed, i decided i Must develop it too. yesterday was spent blacking out my bathroom and buying chemicals and trays and measurey things and what nots. this afternoon i processed those first four sheets to make them become the first film i have processed (possibly ever. i cant remember).
so here is alan unsurprisingly rocking a hoody and coffee from urban standard.
Somehow I managed to miss this video being released something like 7 months ago. Below you'll see my friend David performing as Paleo in a live video of the song Forever is a Very long time (see here for the original recording a lyrics).
I have got to track this man down again and spend some time with him.
